Why skin gets dry and tight in winter
Before you choose a facial for dry winter skin, it helps to know what is drying it out. Cold air holds less moisture, and indoor heating dries the air you sit in all day. Long, hot showers add to it by stripping away the natural oils that help keep moisture in.
Even a mild Georgia winter brings all of that once the heat comes on. It shows up as skin that feels tight after washing, looks dull, or flakes around the nose and mouth, and as makeup that no longer sits smoothly.
What a facial does for dry skin
Every facial at Rozy's opens with a free skin consultation, so the treatment starts from what your skin needs that day. Then comes a cleanse, warm steam to soften congestion, extractions where they are needed, a relaxing facial massage, and a mask chosen for your skin, finished with serum and moisturizer.
A facial does not replace your daily moisturizer. What it does is give dry skin a thorough reset in one sitting, and give you a professional read on what your skin needs at home. Ask questions as you go. The advice is part of the appointment.
The best facial for dry winter skin at Rozy's
For skin that is properly dry and tight, start with the Ultraluxe Facial at $99. It is our premium facial, focused on deep hydration, anti-aging, and a glowing finish.
The Signature Facial: Her at $70 is the all-rounder. It is a complete reset with a thorough cleanse, warm steam, careful extractions, a facial massage, and a customized mask, designed to leave skin clearer, calmer, and visibly refreshed. Choose it if your skin is dry in some places and congested in others.
The Mini Facial at $40 is an express 30-minute refresh with cleanse, exfoliation, and mask. It suits skin that is looking dull when you are short on time. If your skin feels raw or sore, mention it at your consultation.
For men, the Signature Facial: Him at $80 is a deep cleansing treatment with a customized mask to support hydration and beard-area comfort. The HIM Facial at $45 is a refresh tailored to male skin texture and the beard area. Both are booked by calling your studio.
How often to get a facial in winter
A facial about every four to six weeks is a common rhythm. It is not a rule, and your stylist can tell you what makes sense for your skin at your consultation. If you only book one this season, book it when dryness first shows up rather than waiting until your skin is flaking.
If you are planning around Thanksgiving dinner or holiday photos, book a week or more ahead. Extractions can leave skin a little pink, and that gives it time to settle. Hour-long facials are booked in 1-hour blocks with a 20% deposit, so reserve them rather than walking in.
How to care for dry skin between facials
Keep the routine simple. Wash with a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water, and put on moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp. Sunscreen still matters on cold, bright days, and a humidifier helps if the heat runs all day.
Go easy on scrubs and strong actives while your skin is dry. If you have threading or waxing coming up, keep them out for longer. Before any service, Rozy's asks that you have not used scrubs, retinol, or peels, exfoliated, or tanned in the previous 72 hours.
